Ingredients:

1 cup salted butter softened
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
3 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups semi sweet chocolate chips
1 cup quick oats
3/4 cup chopped pecans
3/4 cup unsweetened coconut flakes

Carrot Cookies

1 cup shortening (part soft butter)
3/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 cup Gold Medal flour*
2 teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
3/4 cup shredded coconut

Ingredients:

½ cup (one stick) unsalted butter, at room temperature
2/3 cup granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
2 1/4 cups all purpose flour
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the Paint
4-6 egg yolks, preferably in white ramekins or small white or clear bowls
small pitcher water to dilute the yolks
food coloring
4-6 small paint brushes (synthetic bristles work best)
