UPCOMING EMPOWERMENT PRESENTS...
This Friday 4/16 for Empowerment Presents, we will be highlighting April as Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM). Leah Dirkse will share some history of the anti-violence movement in the U.S. and around the globe. She will facilitate space for participant discussion of what survivor advocacy, empowerment, and healing and can look and feel like – for ourselves and in relationship with others. There will be a *Survivor Self-Care* raffle with prizes supportive of survivor strength and healing at the end of the session. If anyone needs further support after group, Empowerment staff will be available in the Zoom room or by phone after 4pm.
*If you are interested in learning some of this information, but live participation on Zoom would not be the best way for you to engage, please contact Leah at leah-dirkse@empowermentprogram.org or 720-432-3424 to discuss other options for engaging with this content.
**If participating in this group session would not be supportive of where you’re at, that is totally fine and understandable, and we hope to see at another upcoming session!
About the facilitator

Previous to this role, she worked as a sexual violence prevention educator in Philadelphia, PA.
