EMPOWERMENT WELLNESS CHALLENGE

Together, we are stronger, wiser, and more courageous than we realize.

WE GOT THIS!

This challenge is for participants, staff, family, and friends of our Empowerment community. In today's world with COVID19, we are experiencing isolation from our loved ones, community, and support systems. We hope to create a supportive place for us to make changes to help support our health, wellness, and personal empowerment. Challenges are not necessarily fitness related, we are strengthening our minds and bodies by practicing self-care and engaging in community support.

Please register at the bottom of this page if you would like the Wellness Challenge to be e-mailed to you each week.

WEEK 11 - April 16-22, 2021

CHALLENGE: Mother's Day is coming up on May 9, 2021. Motherhood is often stereotyped as a person who identifies as a woman, who is warm, caring, and nurturing. While it may be for some, we recognize that this is not everyone's lived experience. Reflect on what motherhood means to you. We would love to share your stories with the community online, to build togetherness and acknowledge our experiences.

If you have pictures, drawings, or writings you want to share, please attach them to the survey, or e-mail Laura at [email protected]

Option B
For many, Mother’s Day is filled with celebration and togetherness. But for friends and loved ones who are coping with loss, struggling with infertility, or feeling left out of traditional celebrations, it can be hard. Here, you’ll find actions big and small you can take to offer extra support. And if Mother’s Day is tough for you, you’re not alone—there’s expert advice and community support for you, too.

“And i am grateful to the mother in me, in all of us – holding nothing perhaps, holding everyone sometimes. never tired of exploring.” – Adrienne Maree Brown
