Substance Use CounselorJob Description: CDPHE RW Part B - Women's Health Project (WHP). The WHP Substance Use Therapist position works full-time with women who are living with HIV/AIDS. Comprehensive, individualized substance abuse services are provided to these women. The WHP Substance Use Counselor works with the participant’s care managers who utilize a participant-centered process that links clients to housing, health care, mental health, substance abuse, and other support services to produce more positive and sustained outcomes. State Opioid Response (SOR) Peer Support Specialist
The SOR Peer Support Specialist (PSS) will refer individuals with Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) to Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) and other necessary treatment services. PSS will work with participants with whom they share lived experience. Some of the PSS efforts will focus on participants in the criminal justice system. On Call Part-Time Night StaffThe Empowerment Program provides health, housing, and employment and education services to women and transwomen who are involved in the criminal justice system or have been recently released from jail or prison, who are homeless, living with HIV/AIDS, mental illness, drug addiction or at risk for HIV infection.

Care Manager for the Law Enforcement Assisted Diversion (LEAD) ProgramJob Description: Care Manager will provide trauma-informed, individualized, intensive supportive services to help ensure individuals being diverted from the criminal legal system are connected to needed behavioral health treatment, resources and supportive services. The Care Manager will work with other Empowerment staff, the Denver Police Department, and other community partners to empower individuals to break the cycles of incarceration, homelessness and instability.
